Eagle-I reaches 50 with move into coatings

Cardinal CG have ordered an Eagle-I system to inspect coated glass. The system will be the 50th Eagle-I system installed worldwide and opens up a new market for the leading cut plate inspection system.

ABB orders continue

Following the successful integration of an Eagle-I system with ABB's glass handling robots, allowing two robots to synchronously pick up a jumbo plate on-the-fly, ABB have ordered a further two systems for the China market.

Eagle-I replaces SIPAR

Inspection Systems have replaced 2 of the 3 SIPAR systems at the Pilkington Cowley Hill plant in the UK with Eagle-I systems. The systems are located on a Bottero cutting line, and their primary aim is to reliably detect ink marks on glass sourced from a number of float lines. Dimensional verification and edge/corner defect detection are also provided.

Replacement of the 3rd SIPAR systems is scheduled for April 2005.

Four more systems for Cardinal

Cardinal FG has placed orders for four more Eagle-I systems for their Durant, Portage and Mooresville plants. The orders follow the successful installation of seven system throughout 2004, during which direct comparisons were made with systems from another European manufacturer.

Guardian go with Eagle-I

Guardian Industries have placed an order for four Eagle-I systems for their plant in Richburg, SC. This is Guardian's first order with Inspection Systems, and further strengthens Inspection Systems' position within the US marketplace.

Inspection Systems and ABB sign agreement

Following a successful demonstration of the Eagle-I system on the ABB/Bottero stand at Glasstec 2004, Inspection Systems have signed an agreement with ABB to provide up to four systems initially for forthcoming installations in China. As well as performing cut plate inspection, the system will provide the robots with accurate positioning information to allow pick up on the fly.

Inspection Systems to exhibit at Glasstec 2004

Inspections Systems will be exhibiting at Glasstec 2004 in Dusseldorf, 9th - 13th November. We will be in Hall 15, Stand D66, and look forward to seeing existing and potential customers.

Cardinal installation completed

Cardinal FG's 7th Eagle-I system was successfully installed at their Mooresville, NC facilty in mid-september 2004. Thanks to some excellent preparation work performed by the Cardinal engineers, the system was operational in just 3 days, and the line put into automatic inspection mode in only 4.

Inspection Systems are looking forward to further developing our relationship with Cardinal FG over the coming months.

Eagle-I goes East

Pilkington have confirmed order of a new Eagle-I system for their Russian plant, due to become operational during 2005. This will be Inspection Systems' 25th installation for Pilkington, and their first in Eastern Europe.

Eagle-I vai a Brasil

An Eagle-I system has been installed at the new Pilkington/Cebrace float plant in Barra Valha, Brazil. This brings the total number of Eagle-I system within South America to 6.
