Eagle-i is a dimension verification and defect detection system
for the float glass manufacturing industry. With installations on
five continents, Eagle-i couples proven technology with a high reliability,
enabling glass producers to maximise quality and yield.
With full conveyor coverage, Eagle-i Float can inspect anything
from single plates to complex coveys and multiple streams running
on main lines or side legs.
Tests include:

or badly snapped out plates
out of tolerance lengths and widths
squareness errors
plates skewed on the conveyor

missing plates
The system is modular and easily scaled to encompass a wide range
of conveyor sizes. Full integration with plant PLC is provided as
standard, and the easy to use Windows interface allows operators
to change parameters quickly and efficiently as required.
Comprehensive plate logging features present management information

total glass
processed
plate rate
total glass rejected
glass rejection
by defect category
plate data
Data may be easily imported into spreadsheet or other analysis packages
to allow detailed statistics to be produced on glass production
and reasons for glass loss.
Eagle-i is easily installed with minimum disruption to existing
conveyor systems. The low-maintenance, over-conveyor system allows
easy access and work can be carried out without stopping the line.
